How is it performed?

Your treatment provider will first cleanse your skin to fully remove any makeup or products. A prepping solution will be applied to the skin to remove surface oils for better exfoliation. During the dermaplaning procedure, your experienced provider will gently remove dead skin and vellus hair using a surgical blade. This treatment is comfortable and pain-free. For the safest treatment, it is best to avoid a lot of movement or talking. After the dermaplaning is complete, your provider will apply medical-grade skincare products appropriate for your specific skin type. 

For more advanced treatment, we offer a Deluxe Dermaplaning service. This includes:

• cleansing
• dermaplaning
• facial steaming (if appropriate for your skin) or a warm towel compress
• extractions (if needed)
• a mask treatment

This Deluxe Dermaplaning service is concluded by applying skincare products specific to your skin type. 

Patients may also choose to add on a light, superficial chemical peel or our professional Celluma LED Light Therapy. 

Recovery

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive treatment with minimal to no downtime. Patients may experience slight sensitivity or redness directly after treatment, however, but these should resolve quickly. As a result, the recovery time for dermaplaning is short. In fact, patients are able to return to daily activities right after treatment.
