How is it performed?

During the procedure, the skin will be prepped with acetone/alcohol solution before applying the peel. The Enlighten Rx mask is orange in color and does not dry. Depending on skin type and desired results, your provider will instruct you on how long the mask should be left on, which is typically between 8-12 hours. There is very little to no discomfort with this treatment. Patients may experience slight stinging or tingling.  Aftercare instructions and products will be provided and discussed. Patients will be responsible for performing the home care regimen for optimal results.

Recovery

Once the Enlighten Rx peel is removed, patients commonly experience redness, dryness, slight darkening of the skin, and peeling. Some patients may also experience swelling and itchiness. Most peeling resolves in 7-14 days but may persist lightly for longer due to the prescribed home-care regimen.
