How is it performed?

Here’s what to expect when getting a Juvederm Filler or Restylane Filler. Firstly, we will apply a topical numbing agent to the area to be treated. This numbing agent improves comfort. Then, there we will administer a series of injections using a small needle. Even patients who are nervous about needles find the treatment very tolerable. Once the treatment is complete, we may apply ice packs.

The most common side effects for fillers like Juvederm and Restylane include bruising and swelling at the site of injection. Results are visible immediately after treatment. The healing process involves swelling for about 3-7 days depending on the amount injected, the area treated, and how your body reacts to the procedure. The product then settles and you’ll enjoy your final results about 2-3 weeks after injections. Please give yourself a minimum of 2 weeks before any events or vacations in case of residual bruising and swelling.
