How is it performed?

Prior to microneedling, a topical anesthetic cream will be applied to the skin.  During treatment, several passes with the Vivace Radio Frequency device will be performed on the skin. As a result, this creates collagen stimulating micro injuries. Most patients are very comfortable during treatment. Sometimes, they report feeling slight discomfort in some areas, and gradual heat depending on the settings used and sensitivity.

Recovery

The healing time for microneedling varies for each individual. Patients may experience redness or pinkness for a few hours after treatment, a feeling of tightness and slight sensitivity, and dry or flakey skin. This is due to increased cellular turnover. Most patients feel fine returning to work or their normal social events within 1-2 days. Exercise and makeup should be avoided for 24-48 hours after treatment.
